This guide explains how to upload and manage content for the public pages of the site through the Admin panel.
Getting started
- Go to
/authand sign in with your admin account. - You will land on
/admin— the dashboard shows every page you can edit. - Two kinds of content exist:
- Text Content — headings, subtitles, body copy, addresses, etc. Edited from the Pages list in the sidebar or the dashboard cards.
- Collections — lists of repeating items (gallery images, press articles, awards…). Edited from the Collections list in the sidebar.
- Every edit saves to the database and appears on the live site immediately after Save. Refresh the public page to confirm.
General tips that apply to every page:
- Rich-text fields (biography, descriptions, cookie policy body…) support bold, italics, headings, lists, links and quotes via the toolbar.
- Image fields accept drag-and-drop or click-to-upload. Uploads are automatically resized/compressed to keep storage lean — you don't need to optimise images beforehand.
- Publish toggle on collection items lets you hide an item without deleting it.
- Reordering — most collection items expose up/down arrows or a drag handle to change display order.
1. Photo Gallery
Public page: /gallery · Admin: Collections → Gallery Images
Photos are organised into two levels:
Section (title)
└── Subsection (subtitle)
└── ImagesAdd photos
- Open Gallery Images in the admin.
- Click Batch Upload to add many photos at once, or Add item for a single photo.
- In the dialog:
- Drop or select the image file(s).
- Pick an existing Title (section) from the dropdown, or type a new one to create a new section.
- Pick an existing Subtitle (subsection) or type a new one.
- Optionally add a caption/description.
- Click Save.
Organise photos
- Reorder sections, subsections, and images by dragging the grip handle, or using the up/down arrows.
- Batch edit using the checkboxes at the section, subsection, or image level, then use the action bar to bulk publish/unpublish, reassign to another section/subtitle, or delete.
- All reorder and batch actions update the page instantly; a "Saving order…" pill appears while changes persist.
Editing / deleting
Click the pencil icon on any card to edit its fields. Trash icon deletes it (with confirmation). Unchecking Published hides the item from the public page without removing it.
2. Video Gallery
Public page: /videos · Admin: Collections → Videos
Videos can be either uploaded files or links to YouTube/Vimeo.
Add a video via link (recommended for YouTube / Vimeo)
- Open Videos, click Add item.
- Paste the video URL (e.g.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…). - Click Fetch details — the title, description, and thumbnail auto-fill from the source. YouTube uses the actual video description; only when no description is available does it fall back to the channel name.
- Edit any field if you want to override the fetched values.
- Save.
Add a video by upload
- Add item, drop or select the video file in the upload area.
- The file goes to storage and a thumbnail can be uploaded separately.
- Fill in title/description, then Save.
Reorder / hide
Use the up/down arrows to sort. Uncheck Published to hide a video temporarily. The public /videos page and the homepage "Video Gallery" section both pull from this list.
3. Press
Public page: /press · Admin: Collections → Press Items (hero copy: Pages → Press)
Each press item is a card linking to an external article.
Add a press article (auto-fetch)
- Open Press Items → Add item.
- Paste the article URL into the Article URL field and click Fetch.
- Title, excerpt, source, publication date, and thumbnail image auto-fill from the article's OpenGraph metadata.
- Review/edit anything that came through wrong. Common fields:
- Tag — small label above the title (e.g. "Opinion", "Interview").
- Source — outlet name (e.g. "ThisDay").
- Date — used for sorting; enter as a date the browser can parse (e.g.
2019-08-25or25 Aug 2019). - URL — the destination when the card is clicked.
- Image URL — optional upload if the auto-fetched image is wrong.
- Save.
Sorting
Press articles are automatically ordered by publication date, newest first, both on the admin list and the public page. Keep the date field accurate.

The three latest press items also appear in the "Latest News & Features" section on the homepage — no separate configuration.

Troubleshooting
- My change isn't showing on the site. Make sure you clicked Save, then hard-refresh the public page (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R). Check the item's Published toggle is on.
- The image upload failed. Files above 25 MB are rejected. Try a smaller original — the system auto-compresses anything under that.
- The article/video fetch didn't pull the right description. The source page may block metadata scraping. Edit the fields manually after fetching.
- I deleted something by accident. Deletions are permanent — re-add the item from the original source.
